The Office of Career Services actively supports graduating students and alumni in looking for job opportunities and preparing for employment through its career advancement program. OCS's network with employers help finishing trainees in exploring a range of profession alternatives.

Step I: Start Planning

1. Consult with a Career Counselor at OCS in the beginning of your junior year to help develop and review your profession objectives by examining your interests, abilities, and strengths so that you can begin identifying and narrowing down appropriate task options. 2. Join the OCS Facebook group to remain current with job and internship chances: 3. Begin connecting with alumni, faculty, staff, senior trainees and to check out alternatives and understand the kinds of offered job choices. 4. Meet with individuals working in your field of interest, or the kind of task you are striving for, to find out from their experience. 5. Ensure that you take at least one internship during your undergraduate research study, and likewise take part in activities beyond-the-classroom such as sports, social work, participating in conferences, volunteer work and more. All these experiences will strengthen your experience and your resume.

Step II: Develop Transitional Skills and Essential Tools

1. Attend profession training workshops carried out by OCS. These workshops will help you develop and enhance your transitional skills such as talking to abilities, task search abilities, settlement, networking and more. 2. Take part in mock interview exercises. 3. Develop essential tools and get them examined by OCS to ensure accuracy and quality:

    Step IV: Take Your Employment Process Forward

    1. Make an application for appropriate chances associated with your field of interest and goal(s).
  3. Prepare for interviews. Take aid from OCS and other sources.
  4. React to talk to calls professionally. Even if you choose not to take an interview or task test, inform the companies and send out a regret email/call.
